The Brightest Star

On the day you were born it was like a new star in the sky, the brightest ever star,

The day we said goodbye, a light went out on earth for me you are now very far.

But your soul went up to the skies and lit up the heavens,

You are always in my memory, your lovely star will forever shine.

Always remember a dad is a hero, a safe place who carries our worries and carries our weight,

Appreciate what dads do before it is too late.

A dad is there when problems need solving,

When dad is around you are constantly changing and evolving.

Always there for support and to give you a pat on the back,

Dads never turn a blind eye, but always keep you on the right track.

Eleven years on… Nazirahmed Daud Satia (Allah elevate his status).

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I pray this message finds you in the best of health and Iman. Today marks 11 years since your beloved father returned to Allah (SWT), and I want to remind you that his memory, love, and legacy remain alive in your heart and the countless ways he touched those around him.

Allah (SWT) reminds us in the Qur’an:

“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

While his absence is deeply felt, take comfort in knowing that every good deed you perform in his name, every dua you make for him, and every kind act inspired by his teachings continues to benefit him in the Hereafter. Rasulullah (ﷺ) said:

“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)

May Allah (SWT) shower him with mercy, elevate his ranks in Jannah, and unite you with him in the eternal gardens of Paradise. Reflect on the beautiful qualities he instilled in you, and let them be a source of sadaqah jariyah for his soul.

You and your family are in my duas. May Allah (SWT) grant you peace and strength on this day and always.

Wa Alaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
